Are the things we value
what helps us to grow?
Are our thoughts tried and true?
Inquiring minds want to know.

We are who we are
and we are all we can be.
That doesn’t mean we can’t improve
or that we just might get lucky

But what’s most at risk
is if we don’t allow
that creative force to kiss
right across our brow

to drive us towards
our purpose, our being
written in our records
